Taking on the tasks of a specific job can be a challenge. When it comes to doing these jobs it is important that we have the right tools and supplies to make the job a success. For those that have been in the industry for a while the collection of tools and supplies are pretty much complete. However, for those starting out here are some ideas that you can use to make the process go faster.
Each job will require its own level of supplies. Items such as hydraulic cylinder seals by size or nuts and bolts for specific pipes and screws will be a good idea to have on hand. When it comes to supplies it is important that you have a bare minimum of extra pieces and parts lying around in case you run short or find yourself in a situation where you need to make additional repairs.
There are specific tools for specific jobs. When approaching a job you may find that a different tool could work in a pinch, however, it is not recommended that you really use other tools. When it comes to tools make sure that they are well cared for and maintained. You never want to lend out your tools to other people and when you are done make sure they are cleaned and put away properly.
When it comes to your tool they are where you will make your money. If you don’t’ have the tool for the job, then you are not making what you need.

Never stop learning. As you go through jobs you will gain additional experience. That you can use in different situations. As a professional you want to seek out as many challenges and opportunities to do different types of jobs that you can. When you have this knowledge you will make yourself more valuable and can charge extra fees for these jobs that you would have otherwise missed out on our would have had to subcontract out.
